Membership Benefits

Your voice is heard when it comes to issues that matter for trails: funding maintenance, trail projects and more.

Your membership includes a 1-year subscription to Washington Trails Magazine, the monthly publication of WTA. Each issue contains: trip reports, backcountry news, editorials, stories, book and gear reviews and fine photography.*

It also includes a discount on select WTA-logo merchandise at the WTA Store.

How Does Your Membership Help Support WTA?

$35 buys one shovel or grub hoe.
$50 buys a pulaski or a pair of loppers, both handy trail tools.
$100 covers the cost of a Wildland Discovery Hike.
$250 underwrites the work needed to coordinate one "Leave No Trace" potluck for members and local Forest Service staff.
$500 covers the cost of maintaining one mile of trail with a crew of eight volunteers.
$1000 underwrites first aid training for all of WTA's volunteer crew leaders
$2500 pays for the time needed to recruit, plan and lead a weeklong volunteer vacation on a backcountry hiking trail.
